Ankle impingement refers to a condition in which there is compression or pinching of soft tissues in the ankle joint, leading to pain and limited range of motion. This can occur in various parts of the ankle joint, and there are two main types of ankle impingement: anterior ankle impingement and posterior ankle impingement.
